Brahmotsavam: The Grand Festival at Tirumala Tirupati

 Srivari Brahmotsavam is the most significant festival celebrated annually at Tirumala Tirupathi Sri Venkateswara Temple in Tirupati city of Andhra Pradesh. It is a nine days festival commended in the month of September/October. This festival is followed by Hindus and is one of the most magnificent festivals celebrated at Tirumala which is admired by many connoisseurs, sightseers, and explorers from distant locations around the world. It is said that Lord Brahma initially performed this celebration of Lord Tirupati Balaji to be grateful to the lord and has been assimilated since then as an aged occasion. The festival begins with Dwajaarohanam i.e flag-hosting with a picture of Garuda (vehicle of Lord Vishnu) on the top of the Dwajah Sthambham in front of the sanctum sanctorum. This day symbolizes the invitation to all the aficionados to attend the Brahmostsavam festival.
